I was born in Greece of Greek parents, grew up in central Africa, and studied and live in the US.Growing up and living on three different continents has given me the gift (and, some might say, the curse) of viewing events through multiple lenses. I do not feel fully at home in any one country but find a sense of place in the cultural and physical landscapes of Greece and the Berkshires here in the Massachusetts.I have a BA and MA Degrees in English from the State University of New York at Albany and a doctorate degree from Boston University.I have written and presented widely and also co-authored a book on work and family entitled Shared Purpose: Working Together to Build Strong Families and High-Performance Companies (AMACOM, 1998). I used to be defined professionally by these markers but recently I stepped out of the academic world and am eager to re-align the course of my life in new directions.In this wonderful uncharted period of my life I am learning to write for children.I live in Massachusetts with my husband, our dog and two cats. I draw inspiration from our grandchildren who teach me how to look at the world through fresh eyes.
