Please note that I received this book from the author via NetGalley in return for a honest review. I previously read the first book in this series, Wait for the Rain, and really enjoyed it, you can see my review here: Wait for the Rain review at Goodreads. So I was happy to see that Maria Murnane...
So when I first read the description of this book, my first thought was, okay it's How Stella Got Her Groove Back with just Caucasian characters. Heck I loved that book by Terry McMillian and for the most part have loved/liked most of Ms. Murnane's other books so thought I give this a whirl. I have ...

I have read Maria Murnane's "Waverly Bryson" series and have been a fan. I also read her novel "Katwalk" and thought that was a good read. Not exactly compelling but I liked the overall plot and the characters in that book. However, with this novel, "Cassidy Lane" I have to say that if it wasn't for...
I have read other novels by Maria Murnane prior to this novel, Katwalk. For the most part, I really enjoyed the other series of books she wrote about Waverly Bryson, start with novel #1, Perfect on Paper: The (Mis)Adventures of Waverly Bryson. In this newest novel, Ms. Murnane introduces readers to a...
Well, at 25% I was pretty 'meh' about this book, and at the end I was still feeling 'meh'. It just didn't do it for me. It was touted as a lighthearted funny romance - for me it felt fairly pedestrian. I found the main character and her two bffs to be boring. The supposedly hilarious string of b...
I love, love, loved this book. Waverly never fails to entertain me. I love her inner monologues when she's trying to stand up to Jake's mum. I think I would be exactly the same in her shoes. All she wants is for Jake's mum to like her as much as she like his ex Holly. However, Waverly and Mrs McInty...
"I still can't believe this is happening." I leaned toward my reflection in the standing full-lenght mirror in my living room and knocked a piece of fuzz off my long white dress. Then I turned towards my friends McKenna and Andie, who were sitting on the sofa across the room. "Seriously, can you two...
This was a cute story. I really liked the characters and they kind of felt like friends by the end. Some of the story was a little cheesy, but it was still really fun and cute. A nice light read. I am excited to read the next two books in the series.
