Well shit. This sounded dark, unique, and interesting. For the most part it was, kinda. I just had a very hard time getting into it. I liked the world and am disappointed I thought this was just okay. Just not for me I suppose.

This sci-fi was slightly more technical than what I normally read. I think medium sci-fi would be a correct label. I liked the plot and the world and it's horrors. I was a bit uncertain at first when I read the blurb, because a world ruled by the media? But I think it worked out very well. I liked P...
want a real life adventure? come to Australia we have spiders bigger than your hand.
Entertaining book. Actually it really reminds me of the first few Kate Daniels books (which i love) except just not quite in the same league yet. The Characters were mainly great. Parrish seemed rather easy to read but became more and more complicated as the book continued. I love how she started ...

Set in a potential near-future, Peacemaker delivers blending of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Western through the experiences of Virgin Jackson. As an American, Australia brings to mind large cities separated by large stretches of land only occupied by small towns. This is not the Australia that V...

(Thanks to NetGalley and Angry Robot for the copy.)Near...

Super cute story of a mother and daughter with completely different personalities. The pictures are a whole story of their own as well. A lot of colors and activity on each page. I couldn't help but wonder what the animals that looked in the windows were thinking. The story is very humorous and I sm...

Into a world of wild secrets and deadly pleasures comes a girl whose innocence may be her greatest strength. In Ixion music and party are our only beliefs. Darkness is our comfort. We have few rules but they are absolute . . . Retra doesn’t want to go to Ixion, the island of ever-night, ever-youth...

Not bad. Great strong female lead character, Parish Plessis, who isn't amazingly gorgeous but rather is a 6 foot plus tall bruiser of a bodyguard/muscle for hire/bounty hunter in the slums of a future Australian megacity. The world is wonderful, the castaways of a future suburbia, living on a pois...
