Ok, I usually don't read gargoyle stories because it's so difficult for me to get the typical gothic statue image out of my head. I can't force myself to disassociate, so I just avoid them. In this story, Marjorie M. Liu used the word "craggy" to describe Lannes' face like a hundred times. Which alw...
Done 3.5 stars- A woman, wakes up to find herself in a room, filled with smoke, she is covered in blood and there are three dead men on the floor, she has a gun and a note pinned to her shirt that says 'RUN". She does and on her run she meets a man, who is not exactly like other men, he is a gargoyl...

I was thinking that Liu was getting better, but...I liked the characters, but I didn't like how everything came together in the climax of the book. Of course, the epilogue was cute, but that doesn't help the fact that I was bored when the big...
A good story but it was a bit long and there seemed to be some questions left unanswered or maybe I just didn't understand.
Gargoyles! There are so many different supernatural creatures in this world. What else will pop up? This was a really sad tortured story. It's as if each one getting more and more angst-filled. Enjoyed this one.
