Mark Bousquet was born in Massachusetts, and has lived in the Northeast, Midwest, West Coast, and now resides back in the Northeast. Primarily the writer of genre fiction (science fiction, horror, westerns, fantasy, action, superhero, and mystery), he has also published adventure stories for kids and film and environmental criticism. With over a dozen books and just as many short stories in circulation, he was nominated for 2 Pulp Ark Awards for 2015: Best Writer and Best Novella (for American Hercules: The Lion of Nemea).His significant works include the Gunfighter Gothic series, The Haunting of Kraken Moor, Used to Be: The Kid Rapscallion Story, Adventures of the Five, Stuffed Animals for Hire, and American Hercules.Stay up to date on his writing, general musings about the world, and pictures of his more-adorable-than-him dog, Darwin, at his personal website, themarkbousquet.com. A great set of stories again. Only this time the formatting let it down. Some words ran into each other and the use of accents over letters broke the words.A shame as the tale of Jill the formerly immortal and Hanna the also formerly immortal continues in a similar vein from the previous book.

It starts as steampunk/supernatural, reminding me a bit of Cherie Priest's Clockwork Century novels. The links between chapters/books are a bit stretched at times, along the lines of "something happened between the previous bit and this one", making you think you've missed something out.
