My view of this is the exact same as the first book.

I feel like part one and part two ought to have been combined and condensed. The pacing was too slow, especially in part one. Part two brought in the time travel and the story cheered up quite a bit.
I could not get into this book at all. It was not in my taste and the story itself could have been very good which is why I read it. Some people may love it but I am not one of those people.
