I was born and raised in the North West Phoenix area.In the early 1990's I received my general contractor license and started building homes, townhouses and room additions.When 2000 rolled around I decided to take a break from building and went back to school to learn computers and the internet.The housing market was exploding in the Phoenix area in 2005 and I was approached by multiple investors and went back to building homes.In September of 2007 I finished real estate school and began to figure out what to do as I did not have any clients and the market was crashing.After a two hour search on Google I came across BPO's which would allow me to use my real estate license to generate income without having to complete real estate transactions.I submitted my resume to over 200 third party BPO vendors and in one week was working for five companies.A pleasant surprise came about 30 days later, when a vendor called me and asked if I would like to list bank owned homes, REOs, for them, thus began my true real estate career!Short sales were now driving the market and I had to figure out a system to consistently close them.I purchased just about every book and online course I could to learn how to do short sales. After a few short sale failures I decided that I had to figure out a system to get the majority of my short sales to be approved.I went through of the courses I had purchased again to see what the weak link was, and I figured it out!After two days it dawned on me, the seller is the weak link, not the seller's lender. I revamped my entire short sale process and I now close over 80%, if not 90% of all my short sales.This prompted me to write my first book "The Real Estate Agent's Guide to using the Equator Short Sale Website".I now focus on helping real estate agents learn how to do short sales the right way. This real estate market mess will only be repaired by knowledgeable real estate agents!
