Mr. Tyson has traveled through many of the United States and has even visited Canada on occasion. A graduate of New York Institute of Technology, where he studied English and culture, he diversified into the cultures and literature of countries ranging from India to Japan, to Iraq and Iran. Shifting gears and crossing the American continent, he did his post graduate studies at National University in San Diego, California, where he received a M.A. in English. From there he began a teaching career, teaching high school students more than merely English but also life.A life-long fan of the fantasy genre, Mr. Tyson began writing fantasy short stories just after he was first able to put words together to form sentences. In the early years, his writing was mostly influenced by the Universal movie monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein, the Wolfman, and others. In high school, he began playing the popular roleplaying games of the time. He is still lifelong friends with the majority of his roleplaying group today! It was also during his high school days that he began to read the works of David and Leigh Eddings, JRR Tolkien, Robert Jordan, etc.Now crafting fantasy works himself, he enjoys paying homage to his roleplaying days by inserting roleplaying jokes and tropes into his fantasy works, such as never pick up the bad guy's evil sword lest you become evil too! When asked why he writes fantasy and science fiction, Mr. Tyson often replies: "Because I love fantasy. Somebody has to do it! Besides, it's not nearly as easy as it looks. Sometimes, when I am embroiled in the complexities of a difficult plotline, I think I should have taken up something easier, like Quantum Physics or String Theory. That's just a joke, don't send me letters!"Mark Tyson's official Webpage: http://marktyson.weebly.comOr stop by and say hi author.marketyson@gmail.com
