Marni Bates began her writing career at the age of 19 with her autobiography, MARNI, for HCI's Louder Than Words series. Her debut fiction novel, AWKWARD, has been translated into Portuguese, Spanish and Hungarian and has also been optioned by Disney Channel as a made for TV movie. Cute holiday book. Holly was equally parts neurotic and entertaining and Nick was adorable. I wasn't a fan of the bullying by Er cousins and the reference to how not gorgeous Holly was. I took away from a cute story by her being put down by everyone. But all in all a cute book.
