Marsh Cassady has been many things! His first job after earning a Ph.D. degree was that of gas station attendant in Salem, Ohio! A few years afterward he worked as a janitor in a factory and after a month was promoted to the assembly line.He is a former university professor of theatre and creative writing at such schools as San Diego State, UCSD, and Montclair State. He's been a musician, a book publisher, a newspaper and magazine journalist, a columnist for two writing magazines, and the editor of a couple of magazines and two literary journals. For many years he's led all-genre writing workshops. For a time he and his partner Jim Kitchen owned and ran Los Hombres Press, which published fiction, nonfiction, and haiku.Marsh is the author of fifty-four published books in many genres--sf, mainstream and mystery novels, theatre textbooks, true crime, haiku and collections of his own plays.His two most recent publications are The Professional Writer: Getting Ideas; Avoiding Pitfalls (EgretBooks.com) in print and digital forms, e.g., Kindle, and a novel titled Light (Trabex Books) available on Kindle and SmashwordsMarsh grew up in a little coal-mining town in Southwestern PA and his lived in Mexico since 1997.
