Martha Reed is a Pittsburgh-based author who is busily developing her John and Sarah Jarad Nantucket Mystery series.The first book in the series, THE CHOKING GAME, was a 2015 Killer Nashville Silver Falchion nominee for Best Novel in the Cozy/Traditional Mystery category. Book Two, THE NATURE OF THE GRAVE, won an Independent Publisher (IPPY) Honorable Mention for Mid-Atlantic Best Regional Fiction.Martha's work has appeared in Pearl 26, Spinetingler, Mysterical-e, and Mystery Readers Journal. Her short story STRANGLER FIG appeared in LUCKY CHARMS: 12 Crime Tales, an anthology produced by the Pittsburgh chapter of Sisters in Crime, Inc. (SinC). She recently served as the National Chapter Liaison for SinC. She loves travel, big jewelry, great coffee, and delights in the never-ending antics of her family and friends, who she lovingly calls The Mutinous Crew.
