I wrote my first program in 1965. My last programming was a bit earlier, today. It's a profession, a passion and an avocation. I've written, professionally, in assembler, APL, Basic, C, C++, CUFFS, dBASE, ... you get the idea. Since '08 I've focused on the frontend languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Also do a little Python and Ruby on occasion and hack up Basic enhancements to Office.I love writing, now communicating. (Communicating == writing plus code examples plus websites and, coming soon, video.) Now working on a five volume frontend engineering set. Pro HTML and Pro CSS already available (book/website, read/code combinations). Also, JavaScript Inheritance and Object Programming, which will explain why JS is a vast improvement over the OOP of C++ and Java.Along the way have built my own software company and served as chairman/vice chair of IEEE and ANSI language standards committees.
