Martin Theus (*1967) is with the BI Unit of Telefónica-Germany. His research and application areas are data visualization and data mining as well as exploratory data analysis. Martin has worked in industry, academia and research in both Germany and the USA. He received his Ph. D. in Statistics from the University of Augsburg in 1996. Martin is author of the data analysis software Mondrian. He is co-author of the books "Graphics of Large Datasets" and "Interactive Graphics for Data Analysis". He shares his ideas around many aspects of data and its representation (some call this "data science" by now) on his blog "Statistical Graphics and more ..." since 2005.
