Mary Katharine Deeley loves talking to people about where they find God in their lives. She draws on her background in scripture, ministry, and spirituality to engage people in the Catholic imagination and share her faith and humor. Currently, Mary is the Pastoral Associate and the Director of the Christ the Teacher Institute for the Sheil Catholic Center at Northwestern University. There, she oversees the Catholic Scholar's Program, facilitates retreats, and works in spiritual direction and discernment. Mary is a popular speaker in such diverse topics as scripture, evangelization, liturgy, spirituality, and young adult ministry. She has written dozens of articles, both scholarly and popular. She has also written scriptural reflections on the readings of the Church year for Liturgical Training Publications and is an ongoing contributor to "Give Us This Day," a daily prayer guide from Liturgical Press. Mary is currently at work on a three year series of reflections on the Sunday readings which will begin in Advent 2013
