Unfortunately a huge disappointment. I love the Disney version of it, and assumed the book would be even better. Unfortunately that wasn't the case at all. The movie was much better and Mary Poppins of the book not nearly as charming. I'd probably have liked it more had I been younger when I read it...

I can't remember how many of the Mary Poppins books I read, but I know I read this one and loved it. I'm sure I read it more than once as a kid.
