I'm originally from Syracuse, NY and moved out to the San Francisco Bay Area after finishing college. My degree is in advertising design and I've been lucky to have been able to work in creative positions my whole life. I've been a graphic designer, art director, marketing director, editor, and am now product development/business development manager for a publisher.I love to paint, especially with watercolors. Next to art, reading is my second love. My hobbies are cooking, hiking and camping. My husband, Jim and I have one daughter, Emma, now 10. She's been the catalyst for me to help create "The Wonderful Colorful Wonder Wheel of Color" book. Like most girls her age, she's wonderfully creative and loves to do all things related to arts and crafts. Knowing that her school doesn't offer any type of art instruction, I helped start up a Girl Scout troop at her school so I could teach kids about art, color and making cool crafts. I found I loved to teach kids art and how to work with a color wheel to make good color combinations. You'll find Emma in some of the photos in the book along with a few of her friends.I'm looking forward to sharing my love of teaching and art in whatever comes next.
