Born and raised just outside San Francisco, Maryam moved to Los Angeles to pursue teaching, performing and competing in Salsa and Belly Dance. She has performed with Enrique Iglesias and Tito Puente; been on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Day's of Our Lives, and Fame LA to name a few. Next on her path was television, live event hosting, and motivational speaking. You may have seen her on Caliente Telemundo, Expert Village, or in her self produced instructional dance video Salsa Fusion.Maryam has now added author to her list of credits. Her children's book, What about Daisy? is a story of a deafblind rescue dog in search of her forever home. Next to caring for the real deafblind Daisy and her three rescue siblings, Maryam's newest passion is creating a series of stories about Daisy.What about Daisy? has already been seen on NBC, KTLA, and Channel 11. Best Friends Magazine writes, "This year there was little doubt in my mind about which title to recommend as the best choice for the young children on your gift list."
