I was a little worried about this one. I have been putting it off for awhile because Eric has already had a mate that died.. And that usually bothers me a whole hell of a lot when the hero then gets a new mate. And especially with this book because Eric did love his mate and he was still missing a...

Eric took dating lessons from LL's breeds, I see; stalk and hover around your mate 'til your enemies notice her, then try to hide her in a closet. That's not really a compliment. So the h is half shifter and has been hiding in plain sight all her life. Her mother, sister, and stepfather all helped...

Short Review: As with the first book in this series, this one is one of my favorites. I’m just stating that up front. I loved and related to Iona quite well and the fierce heat between Eric and her nearly scorched the pages! Wowza! The development of both characters and plot was extremely well-done ...

Eric Warden -- brother of Cassidy Warden from Wild Cat and Las Vegas shiftertown leader -- has discovered an uncollared shifter living right under the noses of all the authorities both human and shifter. He's determined to keep her safe and unreachable for as long as he can. That will be difficult a...

Iona is living her life as human, trying not to reveal her shifter side, when she starts to transition into adulthood. This means her shifter side tries to find her mate, and living like a human gets harder and harder. Eric caught her scent a while ago and since then has kept an eye out for her. Now...

Eric and IonaSeveral things I didn't like about this one. Iona was very against anything Eric wanted and it got to be too much. There were some grammatical things that bothered me too and normally those things don't. I think it was just a case of not the wrong book at the wrong time.

3.5/5; 4 stars; B+Eric and Iona's story was pretty good. The story line that introduced Tiger was a good hook for further stories.

3.5 starsTruthfully, I put down this book several times since I got it. Kept being distracted with other stories. My issue was that I wasn't that impressed with Eric and Iona as a couple. I wasn't that eager to read how Iona's uniqueness as Half-Shifter was dampen down with the fact that she still h...

I thought I would like this one more than I did. Still, it's good; just not great, for me.

It's been awhile since I've read this series. I do remember the Las Vegas shifter leader feeding chocolates to Iona and her liking the chocolate with chile that is just wrong. I'm a nuts and chews gal. It took me a while to warm up to Iona. She just skimmed that edge of fighting something that's ...
