It was ok, a little hit or miss. Some of the more amateur looking stories really bothered me with how low quality the work was. Better than most local history books though and the stories they told were fairly solid.

An interesting perspective and good conservation/environmental message but anthropomorphizing the animals by giving them speaking voices makes for an awkward narrative. The book would work better with a third-person narration.

What we have here are around two dozen trickster stories from roughly as many Native American traditions. I enjoyed it, for the most part, but it wasn't the most inspiring selection of trickster tales. But I love reading trickster tales. There's a variety of art styles represented here, but none of ...
