Another library pick I stumbled on. This one caught my eye at the library, and though I had never heard of it, the cover and the title grabbed my attention. I later found out it's sci-fi, and has to do with aliens! something I'm not often the biggest fan of, but this one pulled it off! When a book l...
This was so good and I could hardly wait to dive back in to find out what would happen next! The mixture of real people and setting to tell what is ultimately Evelyn's story was very clever! I would highly recommend this and have already passed my copy on to my roommate.
***This mini-review has also been posted on The Social PotatoThe Arctic Code was an interesting book to say the least but I liked the idea of it more than I liked the actual book. It was all right. Writing was good. Story was sub par. Characters were under developed. I got bored easily and frequently. There needed to be more actual stuff going on. It wasn't memorable and once was enough for me.
I ADORED this MG novel. It was beautifully written, and is one of my favorite new books. Steampunk, with a dash of fantasy and suspense. I really loved it. :)
