Maureen lives in Athens, Pennsylvania with her husband, Don. They have three grown sons, Brian, Jeff, and Mark, and a daughter-in-law, Becky. In addition, Maureen and Don have two grandsons, Caleb and Samuel. Katie Zobel will soon be joining the family when she marries Maureen's youngest son in 2016. Katie is a very talented fourth-year art major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and she illustrated Maureen and Katie's e-book, "Don't Wake the Croc!"Maureen's cat, Juanita, likes to hang out by the computer while Maureen writes. She also dog-sits her son's black lab, Gus. He thinks he is a lap-dog and likes to get in the way while Maureen is writing stories. Sneezy the Snowman keeps getting cold. He wants things to warm him up, but he keeps choosing the wrong things. The kids keep helping rebuild him and figure out a way to keep him warm without making him melt. Lexile Measure: AD500L I would use this with an activity where the students made a melt...

A cute story, but at times the illustrations of Sneezy made him look a little creepy. Like the famous Olaf from Frozen, Sneezy keeps trying to get warm and melting. The children follow him around and don't seem to think anything of it, they just keep re-building him and giving him their winter cloth...
