by Patrick McDonnell
For such a brief book, McDonnell has done a marvelous thing. He doesn't try to give us the entire life of Jane Goodall, just a glimpse at a child who was fascinated by animals and nature and Africa and how that lead to the adult she became. The art is perfect, incorporating Victorian animal illustra...
Another interesting slice of biography, like I've seen in this binge. McDonnell does not attempt to get the whole life into one picturebook. This one focuses on Jane Goodall's childhood fascination with animals and Africa, and tells mostly that story, leaving the story of her adult work for other bi...
Cute little biography of Jane Goodall...I wonder if Jenna is related? The illustrations were terribly adorable...but I felt it was too short!

Simply wonderful from start to finish! I love the simplicity, the inclusion of Jane's own photos and sketches and, above all, I love the subject matter - Jane Goodall, primates and dreams!
Not a biography but a beautiful, magical, utterly charming imagining of Jane Goodall as a child. I love MUTTS, love all Patrick McDonnell's books. This is one not to be missed!
This book actually brought out the feels a bit.
