Megan Milks is a fiction writer, cultural critic, and scholar. Her first collection of short fiction, Kill Marguerite and Other Stories, was published in March 2014 by Emergency Press. Her stories haves been included in three anthologies of innovative writing, as well as many journals; two have been adapted for performance.Her criticism has concentrated on contemporary literature, film, and performance and visual art, and been published on the collective literary/arts blog Montevidayo and the online magazine Fanzine, among other venues. In addition to contemporary art and literature, her interests include feminist, queer, and disability studies, asexuality studies, and critical psychiatry. The volume Asexualities: Feminist and Queer Perspectives, which she co-edited with Karli June Cerankowski, was published in March 2014 by Routledge. She is currently Visiting Assistant Professor of English at Illinois College, where she teaches creative writing, composition, and journalism.
