Take, the sixth poetry collection by Mel Kenne, was published in 2011 by Muse-Pie Press. In 2010 Yapi Kredi Publishers in Istanbul published Galata'dan/The View from Galata, a bilingual collection of his poetry in English and Turkish. The Book of Ed, a compact disk comprised of a series of Kenne's poems based on the Oedipus myth and set to music by composer Patrick Boland, was released in 1999. Kenne's second book, South Wind, won the 1984 Austin Book Award. Kenne has also translated much poetry from Spanish, French and Turkish into English, and he is co-translator, with Saliha Paker, of two novels by the Turkish writer Latife Tekin: Dear Shameless Death and Swords of Ice.
