As a reader of the Left Behind series and the first book in the Apocalypse series, I felt this one fit in fairly well with the Rapture as originally portrayed by LaHaye/Jenkins. I don't think Odom builds as strong of characters as LaHaye/Jenkins did, but he does manage to bring forth the trials and ...

This series definitely peaked with the last entry, as this one to me served only to advance the story for one basic character, and in a rambling, late-in-his-career Tom Clancy sort of way. Goose Gander basically fights against a thrown in antagonist only to eventually discover he should probably be ...

Part of the Mechwarrior series, it doesn't really have anything to do with events going on in the Battletech universe at the time of its setting. This makes it a good read for someone new to the setting, or that just wants a decent standalone sci-fi novel. The title is a dead giveaway, so the ending c...

It just don't appeal to me.But first things first. The Setting:London in the near future is invaded by some hellish demons that the Templars have warned that they would come bu...

Although making your own small race is somewhat a cliche Mel created a different one that keeps your interest. The likableness of Edgewick (Wick) Lamplighter is what I look for in a series. The best thing is how the character grows as the story moves along in a high adventure pace.

Those who keep up with my book reviews know that I have read quite a bit of Christian fiction, from the supernatural scariness of Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker to the historical tales from Gilbert Morris and Bodie and Brock Thoene. What may surprise some people, even a few of my friends, is the fact...
