Melanie Nilles grew up on a western North Dakota cattle ranch and farm and dreamed of faraway lands. In college, she began writing of those other worlds with the dream of one day joining the ranks of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. That dream has now been fulfilled thanks to the readers who have enjoyed her imaginary worlds. Those worlds are documented in various books, including (as Melanie Nilles) the romantic Starfire Angels series, Adronis series, and Shadow Realm Saga. As M. A. Nilles, she publishes darker science fiction and fantasy, including the Demon Age series, Legend of the White Dragon, and the more romantic leaning Starfire Angels: Revelations series.
