Melissa has been writing and creating since she was a youngster. She took her own adventure after college where she lived and worked in Japan as an ESL teacher. During her three years in Japan she traveled throughout Vietnam and Thailand, which has inspired her writing. Her little tomboy was the inspiration to write about a fun and spunky character who likes to have adventures with her friends, while at the same time teach little ones the importance of treating others with kindness and respect. She has her Masters in Nutrition and is working on a children's book about a superhero trio who get superpowers by eating healthy foods. Penelope the Purple Pardner takes Penelope and her friends across the Wild West and through a deserted mining town will be available June 2012.
