This volume (seems to have) brough the Gackto storyline to a close, while leaving the plot thread that I'm sure will guide much of the rest of the series dangling. Yes, my enjoyment is still basically dependent on the mermaids.
This remains a guilty pleasure series for me. I like it because of the mermaids, but I know that I wouldn't be half as into it if they were, say, angels instead.
I expect nothing out of Pichi Pichi Pitch but mermaids and cute art, so I continue to enjoy it. Of course, it has occurred to me that I wouldn't like it nearly so much if it didn't have cute mermaid art, but it does.
This is a cute enough little manga. I like the art, and I like that the romance seems to be partly inspired by The Little Mermaid, both Disney and original versions. But the truth is that I'm not entirely engaged with the story, and if it were just about any other manga, I probably wouldn't be conti...
I recommend this to anyone who has read chibi vampire and loved it :) this is a very cute manga
