I wanted to like this so much because I really like Micah (and Nathaniel) and I was curious about his history. I expected...more, I guess, out of this. It was short, which made me happy because I've been reading long books lately, but it also felt rushed. It's like Hamilton was writing the next book...
Book: Micah (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #13)Author: Laurell K. HamiltonPublication Date: 2/28/2006Reviewed by: Tammy Payne- Book Nook Nuts My Rating: 5 Stars REVIEW Anita and Micah are off on a raising alone. Micah is determined to make it wonderful for Anita if he can. They have never had sole al...
Firstly, a pertinent point about this book is it’s short – it’s about 100 pages long by my e-reader and a substantial part of that is a preview of Danse Macabre. This is normally where I insert my complaints about how I don’t like novellas, but I’ll pass on it this once. But I will say if you are ...
This reminds me of that classic yet devastating complaint: short, but not short enough. Don't let the 300 pages fool you--this is a novella, not a novel, using font tricks to make you think you're paying full price for a full novel. And even for a novella, this feels padded to me. And unfortunately,...
LKH whets my appetite for the next book in the series with this slightly long short story. I did want more but still it's incredibly readable. Anita manages to only have one sex scene, stays faithful to one partner, actually raises a dead person, evades death and altogether returns somewhat to the...
1st review, 2nd read. I enjoyed this book. You learn a bit more about Micah's past and you get to see Anita one on one with Micah. You also get to see what it does to have a person raised, that's blaming another for his death. Not one of my favs - way too short for that, but still quite enjoyable.
I enjoyed but more novella than full length novel. Just a sidetrip/vacation for Anita Blake and Micah and not at all necessary to series (in fact, everything in this novella is summarized nicely in other books). Kicking myself for not getting secondhand as definitely not worth the cover price. ...
This was a really short read. I found the sex scene a bit awkward in this one. But overall it wasnt bad. It was nice getting Micah's story finally. Was a 3.5* read for me.
