I've read it before, no real new stuff, but well written. Would be interesting if you're a science student cause it asks about stuff that is assumed in science. It describes itself as Mysteries in Ancient and Early History. Questions accepted timelines. Interesting.

A lot less speculative than many of their other works this is a history of the inquisition from it's inception to the late 90's. The last two chapters are particularly interesting in that there is a lot of talk about Ratzinger - the current pope- and his attitude.

A book that trudges through the first part and then in the second part starts sparking off ideas and issues in my head. 2.5 stars. it was a long 300 pages of foundation building to get to what i thought was the most interesting stuff. i liked the authors' explanation in the introduction the admittedly gives them a bit of leeway in their position, about how of course any time you're talking about something that happ...
