Clarke, Stephen King, the Jacksons, Sepultura, and MeatLoaf. Excellent novella! It did not take long for me to get hooked on this story and become fully engaged with the protagonist Trevor Lawson and his fight for his own humanity. It's a short book, so a review for it would be pointless. Needless to say it was a good pre-book to the series. The quote that impressed me the most: If there's to be damnation, let it be by my choosing, not theirs.
