Michael is a veteran of the licensing industry having established a photo library back in 1974. He formed the first Art Licensing Agency in Europe in 1979 representing artists, illustrators and photographers working with national and international manufactures and publishers. He has a vast experience in many aspects of licensing from character merchandise, animation as well as fine art publishing both in limited editions through art galleries and mass market publishing via high street retailers. He has licensed close to $1 billion in retail products in his career.He still operates his agency Out of the Blue Licensing from Florida representing a diverse assortment of talented artists, designers and photographers from around the world. Licensing Art 101 was published with the express purpose of educating artists and photographers to help them understand the way the industry works and has become an essential tool to anyone entering the industry. A new updated E-Book is being planned for launch later in 2015.
