i must say lord Stokehurst ANNOYED me. I was like Alicia- he was supposed to be safe, a haven, a protector not an arrogant bully who pouts when he doesn't get what he wants. I know in romances they fall in love in a day but i just didn't trust him. the fact he kept being his arrogant self after they...

2.5I love Lisa Kleypas but this one was a total miss for me. I returned book 2 of the series even though I'm usually OCD about finishing a whole series. I just couldn't do it!

A History Nut's Romantic State of Mind
It's a classic Lisa Kleypas type of love story. This means the romance is sweet, hero and heroin are both likeable characters and a sweet romance. I think if you have just started reading romance, it is a good book. But I must say, Lisa Kleypas has done much better than this book and I hope she wil...

I've read or listened to many of Ms. Kleypas' historical romances, and they always make me feel happy by the end. I think it's partially because they were so "proper" in that time and so prudish. Then, when they couldn't bear it anymore, they'd let all their passion loose. Tasia has escaped a dea...

There's a lot going on in this one - faking your death, escaping the gallows, being chased across continents, hiding out as a governess, the Lord falling for the seemingly inappropriate governess, political intrigue, amnesia - A Lot. The couple themselves are good, and I always enjoy Lisa Kleypas' ...

Lucas Stokehurst Anastasia "Tasia" Kaptereva I won't say this was my favorite story from my Kleypas so far but it was still quite good. The characters were interesting. The plot, pacing and even the narrator were good but for some reason I don't have any gushing enthusiasm for this book. Oh well, s...

This one was ok, I guess. Chick running from a crime she doesn't remember if she committed and lands her a tall rich dude with a hook for a hand. Lots of syrupy mush and a pseudoalpha male. No hard limits for miles around.
