Midnight Awakening The Characters Tegan is strong, determined and stubborn as a mule. Elise Chase is caring, brave and just as determined and stubborn as Tegan. They make a good pair. The Story This story actually seemed quite long to me. Maybe because I wasn’t loving it? I mean I liked it fine b...
Oh, Tegan, finally... I was waiting for his story since the first few pages of the first book. Even though I thought he was similar to Zsadist from the Brotherhood I soon realized I was wrong. I believe Rio is the one to take that role in the next book. So, Tegan, the fierce, one-man unit, cold, emot...
I like how the author is shaking things up a bit with this book. Elise already knows about the Breed and has in fact be living in one of the Darkhavens (little communities for vampires and breedmates). Looks like the author is going to have to find a new source of conflict for Elise and Tegan.Ooh I ...
Wow. I wasn't sure I would like this one as the heroine was already in this "world" so there was no real discovery process. However, Elise has to learn more about the world she lives in, becomes an integral part of the plot, and even drives much of the suspense and intrigue forward on her own. The O...
Tegan lost his love centuries ago, he coped by locking his emotions down and becoming a cold-blooded killer out for revenge. Elise's wounds are raw. She lost her husband and her son, in her son's case in front of her and she's looking for revenge. The two of them find a common ground and then fi...
So...the next book in the Midnight Breed series was probably my favorite so far. And, unlike sometimes, with this one, I can pinpoint EXACTLY why!:)Tegan is a Gen One Breed warrior. What this means is that he is very old, very powerful, and he is one of a very few. Though he had his own bout with...
I thought I was reading the second book in the series, but this is actually the third. I'll read number two next, which sounds like it had a very interesting plot that added to the world building. I can say this series is definitely entertaining, but not addictive. I'll give a couple more of the boo...
This one made for a nice change, since Elise already knows about the Breed and being a Breedmate. I didn't know that she'd been alive about 100 years (mostly in a Darkhaven). I don't have much to say about this book, aside from a comment about how far behind I am in this series!
I have got to say, I love how Lara Adrian has no problem with keeping her characters celibate. Although this is my second Midnight Breed book, the first one being the eleventh book in the series and only an 8-year celibacy period. In this book, however Tegan maintains celibacy for FIVE CENTURIES. I ...
