The BasicsThis being the tenth volume of The Sandman, it’s hard to write about this without ultimately spoiling anyone. A lot of things have changed via the ending of the previous volume, and Gaiman is wrapping things up and saying some goodbyes. My ThoughtsThis is a weird review to write. I’ve been...
I was one of those teens. But flicking through this I don't feel nostalgia, but, surprisingly a new respect and appreciation for the dark romantic aesthetic & philosophy. Suddenly I realise the smug contempt I have felt for my former self and the scene was completely misdirected and unfair. After ye...
My journey with Neil Gaiman's The Sandman series can be compared with a departure of a long lost friend. That it went by too fast, and it's too soon to end. Once I started reading this series, there was no going back to the way it was. This series is often times lyrical, equal parts disturbing and h...
I thoroughly enjoyed this series and I'm quite sad that it's over.I've been reading the books since September and I've never read such creative, interesting, philosophical graphic novels with such great characters. It was interesting to see all the stories come together in the end.
The last two volumes of this series have made me come to the conclusion I don't really like Neil Gaiman. I want to. I really do. I enjoyed some of the earlier books in this series (Vol. 4). When it comes down to it I am not interested. And I have tried multiple books and graphic novels of his.

And then tip your hat to t...
Lovely, but sad. Well, it's mostly eulogies, isn't it?Charles Vess's art rather disappointed me, since The Tempest was likely to be a favorite chapter otherwise. Jon Muth's art fit his chapter perfectly.Library copy.
Introspectively, I'm not sure if I liked this one ever so slightly less than those few volumes previous that I've been tearing through because it was less perfect (slightly) or because I am SO SAD IT IS OVER.
