This is the short story/novella version of every 1950’s Creature Feature B movie, where the teenagers witness everything and frantically try to get help, only to have all the adults dismiss them as crazy kids pulling a prank. Except in this case, it’s little kids instead of teenagers. Good entertain...

It was ok. Not my favorite King but it reminded me of an episode of the Twilight Zone or something.

Was this book written for 12 year olds by 12 year olds? I expected a lot more from the great Stephen King.Uninteresting story with bland, annoying characters. I'll see if I can even finish it.

This was the creepiest yet most funniest novella I've ever read...but then again it is Stephen King :)One thing I've learned from this book: Although it is great to be a good Samaritan and help those who are in need, but beware. You could end up losing a couple fingers or a limb or...something.

This was a fun quick read, I enjoyed it a lot. I especially enjoyed Pete's exploration of the empty Rest Stop and dart game!

Short stories are Mr. King’s forte. Mile 81 is no exception. A ten year old adventurer, a very “hungry” car, some curious passers-by and two children left to tell the tale … and that is all I am going to say about the plot. This story is tight. Just as you begin to suspect that something is going ...
