My vision of Hell? Being caught in traffic with a guy who insists on blaring rap music. This is the urban fantasy equivalent, and I'm so glad I could just shut the book and back away slowly. Awful writing full of romance aisle descriptions and ridden with cliches and mixed metaphors. The prologue ...

I read this a while ago but it was basically about a destined vampire hunter who was a musician and used the music to cover her activities.

I could spend time writing a review for this awful book, but I've already spent more time than I should have on it. I knew after reading the prologue I shouldn't/wouldn't finish it. You have got to know it's bad when ... fill in the blanks and this one will fit well. The only good thing, it was a bud...

I should start by saying that I am just shy of being the last person on Earth that should review this book, seeing as how I didn't exactly read it. I read some of it. 'Some of it' can be further described as 'the prologue and some of the first chapter'... And that's why I'm bothering to write a revi...

I very rarely give up on books. If i have a problem getting into a story, I will usually put it down for a while, and try to approach it again at another time. I attempted to read this book on 4 separate occasions over the course of a year, and I still found it impossible to finish. To be quite hones...

This is the first book in the Vampire Huntress series, and it is incredibly hard to get through. The first 3/4 of the book took me over a week and I'm a fast reader. However, having read the next two books it's worth it - and I believe that is 100% having to do with Carlos' story. So while this f...

I have read a good bit of the available vampire books and it is always interesting to see each person's take on Vampire lore...so when I read one that manages to stand out despite the abundance of vampire stories I like to make note of it. This manages to be different, mainly due to the main charact...

I couldn't even get through this book. I think it's terribly written. I should love the idea of a Black female vampire hunter, but the slang and vernacular (not even used in a clever or insightful way) kept me from getting past the 100th page.

I've had my eye on this book for awhile before I finally decided to buy it. It had a good amount of negative reviews at Amazon, but I simply couldn't keep myself from getting involved in another vampire hunter series. *grin* So when I saw this redone edition, I thought I'd finally pick it up, alon...
