2.5/3 starsFantasy-liteA pirate adventure that was fun, but still left a lot of questions. I did not care for the possible romantic interest, but liked Kestrel and her abilities, her fear and her determination.

The characters are likeable and intriguing and the romance is sort of ambient but when Massey writes the scenes with romantic tension, you can feel it.Overall, the book was a bit underdeveloped and the ending seemed rushed, it could have stood to have about 20 more pages to sum things up tidily and ...
