Because this was directly connected with Toriko Vols 9 and 10, I simply couldn't stop myself from reading this though my library does not yet have the rest of the series. Teppei, the Gourmet Reviver, steps into the Tommyrod fight and ends it. He manages to save all the fighters while Komatsu faces...

Bugs. That's the way to kill my love for this series - have a baddie regurgitating big, ugly parasitic bugs to attack Toriko and friends! Disregarding creeper mentioned above, I liked much of these two volumes. Toriko and Komatsu meet some friends I really hope show up again at some point, we lear...

My reviews for the previous few volumes can be found here, here, and here. Now it's finally getting interesting. Toriko and Terry go on a personal adventure to find the wolf something to eat. Apparently even he has discerning tastes. But first we had the wrap up of the Jewel meat arc. Which w...

If you've not read this series, I'd suggest taking a look at my review for the first two volumes here. My review of the third and fourth volumes can be found here. We're still on the IGO island as Toriko and Rin as well as Komatsu and Sunny work their way separately to the Regal Mammoth and the Je...

To avoid spoilers, learn about characters, etc., please check out my review of the first two volumes found here. The third volume picks up right where the last left off. Coco is attempting to take the poison sacks of the Puffer Whales but he's had no luck. Tired, he turns the task over to Komatsu,...

I'd originally planned to review three of these at a time but there is just so much that happens in every chapter, much less every volume. I was first introduced to Toriko on Crunchroll when I learned there was a combined One Piece and Toriko episode. I watched it, had no real idea what was going on...

Another pretty good volume. Expands on some of the world and some of the reasons why some people have superpowers.

Okay, this took a pretty good right turn into much more gripping with this volume. It feels like there was a lot more development here, and a lot more stakes, making for a much better book that for the first time had me eager to read the next volume.

God, this series is so weird to me! I enjoy the characters, even if the conceit isn't my thing. But Toriko... I sometimes can't tell if he's cool with the things he's seeing or if he dislikes what he's seeing, especially in this volume, and its leaving me a bit unsure how to feel about the series an...

I think this volume worked a lot better for me than the first one. Makes sense, since the first one had a LOT of worldbuilding to get out of the way while weaving an introductory story around our main two characters. this volume gets to take its time and sort of stretch out, to I think its bettermen...
