A high interest text with glossary, this graphic novel would be great for introducing second-language learners to WWII history. I loved learning about Lily Renee, and the British Internments Camps (about which I was completely ignorant), and how with the men off to war women were hired to draw all the comics. The only problem is that the story is focused on Lily escaping the Nazis and fleeing to the US after a time in the UK...
