Moira Weigel is a writer, translator, and scholar currently finishing a PhD at Yale University. Her writing has appeared in The Guardian, n+1, The New Inquiry, and The New Republic among other publications. Like her mother and grandmother before her, Moira was born in Brooklyn. Since then she has traveled and lived in many other places. (Her favorites were Berlin and Beijing.) It took her a while to realize that she could apply the intellectual tools she was developing in graduate school to the subjects that she and her friends spent most of their time talking about: sex, love, and how our desires to experience them shape us.
