Vintage Classics love nothing more than to marry exceptional books with exquisite design. The V&A is celebrating British creative talent with its prestigious exhibition British Design 1948-2012. Vintage Classics asked seven designers featured in the V&A's exhibition to rethink the cover art for the most unforgettable, ground-breaking and life-changing British novels of the last seven decades.Money by Martin AmisCover design by Saatchi & SaatchiThis is the story of John Self, consumer extraordinaire. Rolling around New York and London, he makes deals, spends wildly and does reckless movie-world business, all the while grabbing everything he can to sate his massive appetites: alcohol, tobacco, pills, pornography, a mountain of junk food and more. Ceaselessly inventive and thrillingly savage, this is a tale of life lived without restraint; of money, the terrible things it can do and the disasters it can precipitate.

Well, Martin Amis takes that premise and doesn't just see the raise, he goes all in. But his setting isn't high society 19th century England. It...
