This was such a a sweet story. The cover is gorgeous. It is a book about facing your past and finding away to move forward. I have to say for a lot of this book I was very frustrated with the main character Anna. I really wanted her to open up to someone about her past and what happened to mother. I...

I read this book directly after my re-read of Sarah Ockler's book Twenty Boy Summer and at times I felt like this book picked up right where that left off. Never mind the fact that both of the main girls are named Anna and a beach is involved, there were also similar themes of sea glass, loss and mo...

I expected sooo much more from this book. I didn't really like any of the characters, I thought Tyler was too perfect and Anna was too judgmental and selfish (mostly by how he treated Ashley). The story never grabbed me and it just felt like a chore to read. I liked the inclusion of sea glass and ru...

I adored Jessi Kirby's IN HONOR, so I made sure to make the time to read the author's debut novel this summer as well. This book is very much like Stay by Deb Caletti, except the latter is better, has more fleshed out characters. This book felt very flat and cliche. The main character was dating, flirty, but closed off all at once? Ehhh.

Jessi Kirby’s 2011 debut, Moonglass, is a gentle, introspective novel about facing the past and moving forward. Reminiscent of Sarah Dessen’s thoughtful, subdued style, Kirby has an excellent grasp of teen emotions and beautifully captures the internal journey of her sixteen-year-old protagonist, An...

I love books that have to deal with forgiveness. Sometimes in life, bad things come at you, you don’t understand till years later and then BAM! You realize your angry. You understand the situation more, but you still don’t understand why it happen that way. You want explanations. You want answers no...
