by Janet Chapman
Hmmm... beyond the fact that I didn't realize this was a spinoff of her time travelling highlanders...A) I hate manipulative, pushy, bullying relatives/friends. The ink hadn't even dried on the h's divorce and her bestie and mother were both pushing her to jump the H.B) Chauvinistic heroes aren't ...

So....this was my first foray into Janet Chapmans books, and I have to say I don't thinks she's for me....The first half of the bookwas pretty boring, IMO...it didn't even feel like a romance until midway through....and having every legal aged female in the heroines life pushing her to screw the he...
Loved this book.....The humor was wonderful with a good balance too the story....the story made it self believable.....and it had a good message about spirituality

I really liked this paranormal book with such a strong base in reality that the magical aspects worked. It was fast paced, sometimes humorous and dealt with issues of aging. Ancient Scottish warrior Kenzie buys a farm occupied by divorcee Eve and her mom who are struggling to make ends meet.
I felt like I was reading a book in the middle of a series but apparently it's the first. There was a lot not explained and plot was pretty poorly planned.
