“If one dream should fall and break into a thousand pieces, never be afraid to pick one of those pieces up and begin again.” ~ Flavia WeedThe worst way to try to solve any problem is to run away from it; but this is exactly what Surya Patel, of 'Moonstruck' by M.J. O’Shea and Piper Vaughn, does when...
I think this book affected me more than the others in the series. Surya's parents were so horrible. And Em's cousins. Rat bastards, all of them. Why do people have to be so nasty.
Sometimes life sucks and you just need a good book. I found myself in that position this weekend - life stress was at the highest it'd been in years and I just wanted a little sweet, sexy escapism. When I flipped open my Kindle and saw Moonstruck staring me in the face, I just KNEW that this was the...
I usually love everything these authors put out, but this one was just kinda ho-hum for me. I felt my attention wandering, and I just didn't like some of the things the characters did. I liked Em a LOT, he was so cute, but he pissed me off, the way he lost patience with Surya so quickly about coming...
How can you not love Surya Patel?the first half...Surya Patel had always been an intriguing character (ok, I have a thing for drummers) and he finally gets his story with Emmanuel. I love that this is a mixed-race couple with complicated family issues even though Surya’s very traditional parents don...
3.85 starsA true romance story with lots of misunderstandings. I really enjoyed the characters and was impressed when Surya stood up for Em. There were, however, LOTS of mini-separations. A relatively fast read, I enjoyed it a lot.
So much better than the second book in the series, but still not as good as the first. I got pretty annoyed by the way everyone blamed Em for asking for some space to let Sur think about his options and Sur behaved like a complete asshole. He seemed like a much younger character all through this boo...
3.5 starsThe excitement level did not match the earlier books, especially #2 The Luckiest which is the highlight of the series. However it is still an enjoyable story.Surya falls for Em and, although happy for their relationship to be known among friends, struggles to come out to his very traditiona...
I liked it, but I didn't find myself quite as invested in their relationship as I have in past books. Some of Em's actions, while understandable, kind of drove me crazy especially what he does after meeting his boyfriend's family for the first time.
