AudibleA soap opera with a high addiction potential. I've never thought that a novel about MANY different people who continuously bump into each other - it is a small world, my friends - could be so entertaining. But it looks like I can't have enough of [a:Armistead Maupin|10022|Armistead Maupin|htt...

I sometimes watch Chinese dramas / soap operas with my mother, and I always marvel (in a baffled sort of way) that in as large a city as portrayed in the show, all the characters in the story are inevitably and inexplicably intertwined in their relationships: personal, social, professional, etc. -- ...

Sweet and improbable and dated in the nicest sort of way. There's one prescient moment where Brian says to Michael that it's likely that ...

I'm rereading Tales of the City because I got Michael Tolliver Lives a few days ago. More Tales of the City book 2 of the Maupin San Francisco saga in the 1970's is fun, entertaining , a little weird with a pinch of wacko added. You get to "hang out" with the gang : Michael, Mona, Mary-Ann, Anna and...

This is a reread. I felt like comfort reading and since they published a new compilation in French of the whole series and I wanted to refresh my memory before reccing it to the patrons again although you can't really miss with this series. I still love it. The whole 70s and post hippie, post war, R...
