This former interior designer is now a frequent panelist, moderator or speaker. Having written over 600 articles about the craft and business of writing, St. James was inspired to write WRITERS' TRICKS OF THE TRADE as an easy, fun-to-read guide for writers and authors at all stages of their careers. Available in Kindle, eBook and paperback. She presents writers workshops and co-hosts the WRITERS TRICKS OF THE TRADE show on Blog Talk Radio, as well as publishing the semi-monthly eZine of the same name. The latest release is BUMPING OFF FAT VINNY, funny crime fiction co-authored with true crime writer Dennis N. Griffin. Her books, LA BELLA MAFIA and BETRAYED, and are a departure from the award-winning Silver Sisters Mysteries, a funny mystery series Morgan and her sister Phyllice Bradner co-author. The series currently includes A CORPSE IN THE SOUP. TERROR IN A TEAPOT and VANISHING ACT IN VEGAS.The fourth book in the series is now in work. BETRAYED is a romantic suspense drama and although it is fiction many parts were inspired by true events. For example, teenager Laurel Murphy's story begins with her waking up bound and gagged in a strange room. She's been kidnapped and sold into a brothel, raped and left for dead after a severe beating. But she didn't die and the story continues through the struggle to regain not only her health but her life and learning to trust again despite betrayals. Much of that really happened. Other parts are products of an author's imagination and license.LA BELLA MAFIA, co-authored with true crime author Dennis N. Griffin is Bella Capo's shocking true story of abuse, the glamor of Hollywood's Sunset Strip, being a white female boss in the Crips, enduring years in hiding and eventually founding La Bella Mafia, an online movement to help abuse victims and those in jeopardy. Writing BETRAYED prepared Morgan for entering the true crime genre. When Bella read it, she knew Morgan could help Dennis tell her story.RIPOFF, A funny crime caper co-authored with Caroline Rowe, was also inspired by real events. Did you know federal prison factories manufacture $800 Million a year of merchandise every year? St. James and Rowe used their knowledge of this little known fact to cook up a clever scheme equal to anything that happens in real life. RIPOFF the reader on a merry chase as three sharp women unravel a clever embezzlement plot filled with twists and turns. Her first single anthology, The MAFIA FUNERAL and Other Short Stories was released in paperback and Kindle in February 2012. Morgan was editor and a contributor to her mother's delightful memoir, CAN WE COME IN AND LAUGH, TOO?, released in May 2012. Her short stories appear in many anthologies, including stories for two Chicken Soup for the Soul books. She is active in several writers groups, is on the Board of Writers of Southern Nevada, and lives in Las Vegas NV.
