I can see myself rereading this, just to go over the details, however. And there are a lot of important details. There's a lot of politics, and politicking, as well as the main themes of personal liberty and safety, which are shown as mutually exclusive for much of this graphic novel. It takes ...
Yeah, I read this after watching the movie, so sue me.The film was obviously very different so comparisons are pointless. The comic was a good read and did a good job of showing the divide characters felt. But as someone who isn't a regular reader of the various Marvel stories, some of the side plot...
Yes, yes, I did. And you know what? It didn't matter. It was still as compelling as I could have hoped, and it gave me the general information that I needed to know. Pretty much the same story as ever for Matt Murdock: no matter what he tries, no matter how many different ways he tries it, e...
3.5 StarsIf I had to name what I believe is the greatest graphic novel story arc in the history of all the comic-verses I would name Civil War among them. Perhaps this story arc may indeed end up right near the very top. However because this story is part of an arc narrative it fails to stand strong...
I'll give them credit for trying. The intention was to create a very serious and divisive issue that fans and characters alike could debate. the problem was the issue they picked: super hero registration. Yes, Marvel Comics, the company that has given us approximately 7893893840 X-Men stories about ...

This story actually read better serialized than it does collected. In serialized form there was a good deal of suspense regarding how the story would end, a rare thing in superhero comics. Collected it comes across as little more than another Marvel Comics annual event where the prospect of massiv...
Very good. I'm stunned at some of the events, like Spiderman unmasking himself in front of TV cameras. But it was a MUCH better crossover event than a lot of the previous ones in the early to mid '90s when I was heavily into comics.
