I'm not sure I want to finish reading it. I just hate her voice.. I found myself kept on skipping parts just to rush it, so I took a peek on the ending and call it a day :(

This is admittedly not one of Oates' stronger novels. I enjoyed it, though, as someone who has lost her mother. As an exploration of grief, it was interesting; as a novel, it was just okay.
