Gorgeous illustrations! Really. The color choices were exquisite, and absolutely evoked autumn. I could look at those illustrations all day long.At various points the story reminded me of The Lord of the Rings, and then of Watership Down, but ultimately it really only echoed those stories and nev...
I read these comic books (and still own them) in single issue form. You can find them in book stores and on Amazon in trade paperback. I think every fan of fantasy should own copies. Mouse Guard would appeal to any fans of Lord of the Rings and the Rats of Nimh. Not to mention the art in the book...

The characterizations were weak - so much so that I couldn't keep the threads of a relatively simple OMG THERE ARE TRAITORS AMONG US story from getting all tangled up. I dug the idea of making these little creatures badass - there's a r...
To me this book was similar to Watership Down, but in a graphic novel format. The characters were all unique and made the story enjoyable. However, the art is the main thing for me in this book. It was absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to read Winter 1152.
Another read with my son, this graphic novels introduced to the Mouse Guard and Lockhaven. They are under attack from an invading army and traitor and must protect Lockhaven against an unexpected source. Just as with Mouse Guard: Winter 1152, I rated this by averaging out mine and my son's ratings...
so adorable!!
I agree with most of the other comments. This a Redwall with mice. It is the Three Musketeers with Mouse. It is good, though the characterization could have been a little better. I really like the fact that the leader is a Matron.
